CDN People Awards 2025 winners revealed

The fourth edition of the People Awards took place at a new venue: the historic Old Billingsgate. It's illustrious setting provided the perfect backdrop for celebrating the finest talent in car design. Winners across 19 categories were announced on stage, selected by an esteemed panel of industry experts.

The evening began with the Hyundai-sponsored sketch-battle, featuring automotive design students from around the world. Following the People Awards announcements, the winner concept and production cars from the 12th edition of the Car Design Review book were unveiled, along with the presentation of a special honour, the Peter Horbury Fellowship.

CDN People Awards 2024 winners revealed

The third annual CDN People Awards recognised outstanding achievements in automotive design. It was a SOLD OUT event and Nio Munich and the Zeekr Mix team were among the prominent winners honoured at the 2024 ceremony, celebrating the individuals and teams shaping the future of mobility. Read on to find out who all the 2024 winners were.

CDN People Awards 2023 winners revealed

A raucous evening at the Londoner Hotel, Car Design News was delighted to recognise the amazing individuals, teams, leaders and educators in car design.

Winners were chosen by a panel of industry judges across 15 categories, followed by the winners of the tenth-anniversary edition of Car Design Review – including the lifetime achievement award. Plus, there was the inaugural Peter Horbury Fellowship award in tribute to the great man himself and his impact on the design community; and a sketch battle supported by Hyundai to kick things off.

CDN People Awards 2022 winners revealed

The winners of the inaugural Car Design News People Awards were revealed at a gala dinner in London on 7 December 2022.

The team at Car Design News was thrilled to host its inaugural People Awards, a gala dinner in London’s Leicester Square that championed individuals and teams across all aspects of automotive design. 

While this is an industry where awards shows are not exactly lacking, the CDN team saw that in most cases it is the product that receives the award – without necessarily recognising the people behind it. The awards shone a spotlight not just on the design directors but also the creative talent at every level of the design process: from the CMF team to the UX designers and everyone in-between.
